Thinking about what your future career will look like can be tricky, particularly when you don’t know how to apply your skills or develop your interests at school or college.

Our Meet the Scientist directory brings science to life, showcasing a variety of roles and jobs. It brings together people who work in a range of fields and professions to show how versatile the application of science and research skills can be.

Our directory opens up possibilities across sectors including education, healthcare, engineering and the creative arts. It can show you how to:

• challenge what we think we know.
• develop an enquiring mind.
• make a difference to the world around us.

The people we feature show how they use scientific subjects and research skills to ask questions and make new discoveries, or apply their skills and knowledge to support and teach others. They give advice on how to follow in their footsteps and explain what skills they use in their day-to-day work.
